SoS Mission
The Society of Spain is an independent organization based in Washington, D.C. that seeks to increase mutual understanding and cooperation between Spain and the United States. To achieve this, SoS builds bridges and partnerships with other organizations and businesses to help increase awareness and understanding of Spain and the U.S. and their respective cultures.
The Society of Spain is guided by the strong belief that a better understanding of our common cultural legacy and an increased appreciation of each other’s uniqueness will establish more ways for both countries to engage culturally, socially and economically.
SoS is always looking for fresh ideas for its events, new content and submissions for articles to post, as well as new volunteers to help organize events. The more active SoS members are, the better our events and content will be, and more importantly—the stronger Spain’s wonderful presence will be felt throughout the U.S.!
